The supervisory devices monitor important parts of the system. A supervisory signal will annunciate at the fire control panel or fire command station, displaying the condition which needs to be investigated and corrected. Common supervisory signals are produced from:
Sprinkler valve tamper switches- Abnormal position or open valve
Dry System pressure valves High/Low system pressure
Water tanks- High/low water and temperature.
Fire pumps when:
it is running,
it experiences pump failure
it is in phase reversal
