Supervisory Devices

The supervisory devices monitor important parts of the system. A supervisory signal will annunciate at the fire control panel or fire command station, displaying the condition which needs to be investigated and corrected. Common supervisory signals are produced from:

Sprinkler valve tamper switches- Abnormal position or open valve

Dry System pressure valves High/Low system pressure

Water tanks- High/low water and temperature.

Fire pumps when:

it is running,

it experiences pump failure

it is in phase reversal
